Erika “Riki” Lindhome, an American actress, comedian, and musician, was born on March 5, 1979. She is best recognized for her work with the comedic folk duet Garfunkel and Oates as a vocalist and lyricist.
She has a strong Swedish heritage. In 1997, Lindhome received his high school diploma from Portville. She graduated from Syracuse University in 2000 with a degree in communications and cinema.
Lindhome took home the top honor in 1997’s JFK Profiles in Courage essay competition, which was sponsored by the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston. United States Representative Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) was Lindhome’s subject. She was outraged by the murder of her husband and five other people by a gunman on a Long Island train, which prompted her to run against and defeat her congressman for the position after he voted to repeal the Federal Assault Weapons Ban.
