On 2nd October 2021, he returned from a nearly two-year layoff to face Krzysztof Twardowski and won the fight by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the fight 79-72.
Afterwards, he defeated Olanrewaju Durodola through technical knockout in the fifth round to win the vacant WBC Silver cruiserweight championship.
Riakporhe is also scheduled to compete against Fabio Turchi on March 26, 2022, at the Wembley Arena in London, England, as the main event of a BOXXER Fight Night card. He knocked Jumah out of the bout early in the eighth round with a right to the body.
