Rep. Mike Johnson is the first of four children born to his parents a firefighter James Patrick Johnson and a teacher Jeanne Johnson. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana January 30, 1972, and still lives in that area in Bossier Parish.
Mike Johnson has three siblings, two brothers Chris and Josh, and a sister, Laura. He attended Captain Shreve High School and graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he earned his undergraduate degree in business administration and further for his Juris Doctor from the Louisiana State University Law Center.
Rep. Mike Johnson got married to Kelly Lary who now has adopted her husband’s surname Johnson and she is called Kelly Lary Johnson. The couple married in 1999.
The couple have been married for 24 years now, and have four children, two daughters and two sons called Hannah, 23, Abigail, 21, Jack, 18, and Will, 12.

Kelly Johnson is a former school teacher who now lectures on family-related issues and is a licensed Pastoral Counselor. She studied at Louisiana Tech University and graduated in 1995.
