William Dale Fries Jr., better known as C. W. McCall, was an American musician and song writer, best known for his truck-themed outlaw country songs.

He was also a politician and an activist.

C.W. McCall, best known for his blockbuster 1975 song Convoy, died of cancer on Friday in Ouray, Colo.

As an Artiste he chalked many awards to his name and contributed immensely in music industry.

He passed on at the age of 93.
