Brandon Jacob Uranowitz is a stage and screen actor from the United States. He is best known for his performances as Adam Hochberg in the 2014-15 Broadway revival of An American in Paris and Mendel Weisenbachfeld in the 2016 Broadway revival of Falsettos. He was nominated for three Tony Awards, including Best Featured Actor in a Musical for these performances, as well as Best Featured Actor in a Play for his performance in Burn This in 2019. Baby, It’s You! (2011), Prince of Broadway (2017), and The Band’s Visit are among his other Broadway credits (2018).
Uranowitz resumed his acting career while studying at NYU, playing Richard in Richard III and the King of France in All’s Well That Ends Well at Classical Studio, Cardinal Bellarmin in Galileo at The Skirball Center (2007), and Dante in Only Children at The Abe Burrows Theatre. After receiving his degree, he performed in Twelfth Night at the Kirk Theatre off-Broadway in 2009 as Feste, and Brighton Beach Memoirs/Broadway Bound at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego in 2010 as Eugene. PlayShakespeare.com and MusicOMH both praised Brandon Uranowitz for his portrayal of Feste in Twelfth Night, saying that he “rocks it” and “plays the fool character with restrained glee.” Additionally, Uranowitz is “absolutely spellbinding” according to PlayShakespeare.com. Uranowitz was nominated for a PlayShakespeare.com Falstaff Award for Best Supporting Performance, Male, for his work.
