A Governance Expert has called on the government to release a load-shedding timetable to help consumers plan their lives properly.
Professor Baffuor Agyeman-Duah criticized the government for being slow in finding solutions to the power challenges in Ghana. He expressed disappointment in the government’s lack of urgency in addressing the frequent power outages, stating that more should have been done to find lasting solutions.
In response, the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, acknowledged the frustration caused by the power outages but assured that maintenance work by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is underway to address the issue. He reassured the public that the maintenance works are almost complete, and an uninterrupted power supply will soon be restored.
Ahiagbah also criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for pointing fingers at the government over the outages, reminding them of the challenges faced during their time in power.
He emphasized that the current administration is committed to resolving the power challenges and ensuring a reliable power supply for all Ghanaians.
