The Kenyan film industry has been thrown into a state of shock as one of its legends, Rehema Konde, passes away.
The news of her death broke on social media on Monday, February 21, 2022.
Rehema Konde, also known as Mama Jinale, is well known for her appearance in the popular Maisha Magic Plus’ Pete TV series.
She played a dramatic role in the series which also stars Mutran Tamim (Jasiri), Leon Ongaya (Jasiri’s brother), Mbura, Selestine Nyagha (Nuru) and Aisha Mwajumlah (Nimimi).

The cause of Rehema Konde’s death is currently unknown, and her family are yet to issue a statement about her death.
Meanwhile, co-actor Lolani Kalu has issued a statement about her death in a Facebook post.
According to Kalu, Jinale’s death is a hard hit to the Kenyan film industry and further called on fellow actors who worked closely with the late actress to accept God’s will.

“We must respond to what God has planned. It’s a huge blow to lose a stakeholder in the film industry. Let us all be healed those of Pete (Maisha Magic Plus). We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return,” Lolani posted.
