George Raymond Stevenson was born on May 25, 1964, in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, as the second of three sons to Irish parents. His father was a pilot for the Royal Air Force. He moved to England with his family when he was eight years old, first to the Newcastle upon Tyne neighborhood of Lemington and then to Seaton Delaval. He graduated from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School when he was 29 years old. Stevenson is best known for his role in the BBC/HBO series Rome as legionary Titus Pullo.
