Ray was a highly respected member of the AFL Executive throughout his tenure at AFL House, both for his ability to lead and accomplish large initiatives and for his strong principles and ethical framework in how he conducted himself,” McLachlan said.

Gunston, dubbed ‘The Wall’ at AFL House due to his unwillingness to say ‘yes,’ was remembered by AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan.

He will be remembered as a kind and persistent soul.
