Ray Gunston children: Meet his son Jack Gunston
Jack Gunston is an Australian professional footballer who currently plays for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League.
Gunston is known for his accuracy while kicking for goals from set shots, and he is usually referred to as a “sharpshooter.” He has a “highly balanced, systematic set-shot routine,” with an emphasis on a straight drop-ball. Gunston had the best conversion rate of the top 50 goal-kickers in the league at the end of the 2013 season, with 82.5 percent of his set shots from the previous two seasons ending in goals.
His father, Gunston joined the Bombers in May 2013, at the height of the supplements issue, when chief executive Ian Robson resigned mid-season.
He was a valued mentor to a variety of executives in our profession, and it was my honor to work with him as well as count him and Mandy as friends.”
Gunston, dubbed ‘The Wall’ at AFL House due to his unwillingness to say ‘yes,’ was remembered by AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan.
