Ray Coyle was the founder of Tayto Park and Largo Foods.

He obtained €1.2 million, enough to pay off the creditors, and established Largo Foods in 1982, eventually acquiring the Perri and Sam Spuz trademarks and introducing the famed Hunky Dory brand.

He was 70.

Raymond died peacefully with his family in the care of the Mater Hospital personnel.

He established highly successful facilities in Donegal, the Czech Republic, and Moldova before purchasing the Tayto trademark in 2006.

They had two children: Charles and Natalya.

Natalya is an Irish Olympian who participates in the Modern Pentathlon.

His funeral is yet to be held.
