She was a nurse in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s intensive care unit.
In March, a jury found her guilty of criminally negligent murder and mistreatment of an incapacitated adult in the death of a patient.
The 36-year-old Former Vanderbilt nurse RaDonda Vaught was sentenced to three years of supervised probation in a Davidson County courtroom Court by Judge Jennifer Smith, on Friday, May 13.
“My hope that changes in the practices and protocols in the medical setting that have arisen since this event may at least be some positive aspect that has arisen.
And going forward, I hope it prevents this type of situation from happening again,”. The judge said.
Since the onset of the RaDonda Vaught case, there has not been any information on her parents and siblings.
