He went to college at Murray State and played football there. In the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars picked him up.

He is Quinnen Williams’ older brother. Quinnen Williams is also a defensive lineman for the New York Jets.

The Jacksonville Jaguars picked Williams with the 98th pick in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The Jaguars got this pick in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams that sent Dante Fowler to that team.

As a rookie, Williams was chosen to start the season as an outside linebacker. Before being put on injured reserve on December 11, 2019, he played in 11 games and started eight of them. He had 48 tackles by the end of the season.

Williams was put on injured reserve on September 8, 2020. On September 30, he was taken off of injured reserve and put back on the team. He then started practicing with the team again. He started doing his job on October 10, 2020.

The Jaguars released Williams on August 31, 2021.
