Zac Brown Band frontman Zac Brown and his estranged wife Kelly Yazdi have been caught up in a bitter and public divorce battle since they ended their brief four-month marriage in December 2023.
Kelly Yazdi, a professional stuntwoman with Iranian and Scandinavian heritage, holds an impressive four IUSA World Records in speargun fishing. The couple tied the knot in Georgia in August 2023 following a romantic proposal in Hawaii the year prior.
However, trouble began brewing when Kelly deleted her Instagram account, removed Zac from her bio, and deleted all photos of them together. Just four months into their marriage, the couple announced they were going through a divorce, stating “Our mutual respect for one another remains.”
The drama escalated when Zac filed a lawsuit against Kelly over a social media post, alleging that it violated a confidentiality agreement and damaged his public image. In response, Kelly asserted her right to express herself through art and vowed not to be silenced by Zac, despite his attempts to keep their personal matters private.
This is not Zac’s first divorce, as he was previously married to jewelry designer Shelly Brown with whom he shares five children. The exes announced their separation in 2018, but continue to co-parent their children amicably.
Zac and Kelly do not have any children together, and the legal battle between the two former spouses continues to unfold as they navigate the terms of their divorce.
