A young Ghanaian man took to social media to share a list of items needed for marriage from the family of his girlfriend after expressing his intention to marry their daughter.
On the list, the items needed were grouped into three parts, and each part contained a different list of items to be presented to the family.
The first part of the list contains six crates of soft drinks, two crates of malt, two bottles of Schnapp, and two bottles of Kasapreko bitters.
The second part is where grown is to present a piece of Kente cloth and a certain amount of cash to the bride’s parents and siblings.
The third and final part, where the groom is required to purchase an ecolac, wedding rings, jewelry, handkerchiefs, and cooking utensils in addition to paying a GH¢1,500 dowry.
