Talented German bodybuilder Kevin Gebhardt has tragically passed away at the young age of 31, just weeks after undergoing serious knee surgery.
Gebhardt, a beloved athlete and promising coach in the bodybuilding world, received an outpouring of tributes from the community following his untimely death.
Gebhardt, known for his dedication and passion for bodybuilding, last updated his fans on social media on April 26, as he shared a photo of himself recovering at home after knee surgery with the caption: “Time heals all the breaks.” While the official cause of his death has not been announced, reports indicate that he passed away on a Sunday.
Starting his bodybuilding journey at the age of 14, Gebhardt was deeply inspired by his uncle and went on to achieve great success in various competitions, including the EVLS Prague Qualifiers in 2018. He was also recognized for his coaching abilities, supporting and training younger athletes in the sport.
Fellow bodybuilders, such as Regan Grimes and Milos Sarcev, expressed their condolences and shared fond memories of Gebhardt on social media. Sarcev, a close friend of Gebhardt, referred to him as a “brother of iron” and praised his passion and hard work in the industry.
Gebhardt’s passing comes as another blow to the bodybuilding community, following the recent deaths of Xisco Serra and Jonas Filho.
Serra, a Majorcan bodybuilder, lost his battle against cancer and peritonitis at the age of 50, while Brazilian influencer Jonas Filho tragically passed away at 29 after a battle with pneumonia and Covid-19.
