Micala Ana Mara, a Chilean-Spanish noblewoman, was the second wife of Henri, Count of Paris, orléanist claimant to the French throne from 1999 until his death in 2019.

She was born on April 30, 1938, and died on March 13, 2022. She passed away at the age of 83, after a fascinating career that took her through advertising, government, and medical research.

Micaela was born to Luis Maximiliano Cousio y Sébire, the 4th Marquesa of San Carlos and a Grandee of Spain, and Antonia Quiones de Léon y Bauelos, heir of one of Chile’s wealthiest families dating back to the 18th century.

Despite her origins, the Dowager Countess didn’t shy away from work, beginning her career in media at a French radio station before moving on to a press agency within an advertising firm with offices in Paris and Madrid.
