President John Dramani Mahama has broken his silence on the ongoing elections.
Some media houses have projected a landslide victory for the biggest opposition, New Patriotic Party although the constitutionally mandated body, Electoral Commission is yet to make a formal pronouncement.
Leaders of both parties have assured their followers that they have won the elections hence party faithful and sympathizers are anxiously waiting for the EC’s formal pronouncement.
But President Mahama who has been quiet since the start of the election tweeted that Ghanaians should be calm as they await the EC.
Let’s allow EC to carry out its constitutional mandate. We’ll make Ghana proud no matter outcome.— John Dramani Mahama (@JDMahama) December 9, 2016
