The incident led to the arrest of her Polish boyfriend, Jan Jerzy Lagoda-Filippow, a 25-year-old businessman.

According to reports, Lagoda-Filippow, who owns an advertising firm registered in London, had a romantic relationship with Savchenko.

She had previously done photoshoots for his company and other ventures. However, their love story took a dark and sinister turn, culminating in a gruesome crime scene.

The couple had checked into the luxurious Bangkok condominium on April 29, appearing happy and content in surveillance footage from the building.

However, a sense of unease grew when Lagoda-Filippow was captured leaving the premises alone, carrying a suitcase, while Savchenko remained behind.

Concerned individuals, acting on a tip from a taxi driver hired by Lagoda-Filippow, ventured into their apartment on the 32nd floor.

What they discovered was a horrifying sight-a blood-soaked bed concealed beneath a blanket, and Savchenko’s lifeless body, bearing multiple stab wounds, including a near-decapitation and a severed hand.

As the investigation unfolded, shocking details emerged. The taxi driver, Surachai Sabaibang, provided crucial information, stating that Lagoda-Filippow had asked for assistance in disposing of his girlfriend’s body, using Google Translate to convey his sinister request. In exchange for $44, he asked the driver to aid in cutting up Savchenko’s remains.

Disturbed by the proposition, the driver dropped him off at a hotel in the Sathorn district and immediately alerted the authorities.

With the assistance of a Labrador puppy named Judy, officers on the Thailand-Cambodia border successfully apprehended Lagoda-Filippow.

The canine’s keen sense led them to the suspect, who was found sitting near a travel agency, seemingly oblivious to the manhunt taking place.NYPICHPDPICT000011223368

Lagoda-Filippow, who had visa forms on hand, was moments away from escaping to Cambodia.

As the shocking murder and mystery surrounding Alona Savchenko continue to captivate public attention, the motive behind the crime remains unknown.
