Police arrest Nigerian musician Portable over unpaid debt

Nigerian singer Portable Zazu, also known as Habeeb Okikiola, has made headlines after being arrested by the Nigerian police over an alleged unpaid debt.

The arrest stemmed from a dispute involving the purchase of a black Mercedes-Benz GLE 350.

A leaked letter of undertaking signed by Portable Zazu earlier this year revealed the details of the agreement between the singer and a car dealer. Contrary to initial rumors, the car in question was a Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 worth N27 million. Portable reportedly still owes N14 million based on the undertaking.

This turn of events has put the musician in a precarious situation.
