Playing fortnite on your Nintendo Switch: A beginner’s guide

The Nintendo Switch offers a variety of free games to its players, including the popular battle royale title Fortnite. Setting up and playing Fortnite on the Switch is a simple process, whether you are new to the console or the game.

Since Fortnite is a digital-only game, you won’t find it on the shelves at your local stores. Instead, you can download it from the Nintendo eShop, accessible through your Switch console. To get started, log into your Nintendo account on the Switch, ensuring that you are logged into the account you want to play Fortnite on.

From there, navigate to the Nintendo eShop icon on the console and use the search bar to locate Fortnite. Once you find it, simply tap the Free Download button and confirm the download on the following screen. Make sure you have enough storage space available for the game to install.

It’s important to note that you don’t need to keep your Switch turned on for Fortnite to download – it will continue to install even in Sleep Mode. However, the download may pause if you use another app or game that requires Wi-Fi.

While waiting for the game to download, you can create an Epic Games account, which is necessary to save your progress and user data in Fortnite. If you already have an account from another platform, you can link it to your Nintendo Switch for seamless gameplay.

To set up your Epic Games account, visit the Epic Games website on your phone or computer, follow the sign-up instructions, and connect your account to your Nintendo account. Once everything is set up, launch Fortnite on your Nintendo Switch and start playing.

With these simple steps, you can enjoy playing Fortnite on your Nintendo Switch hassle-free. Stay tuned for more tips and tricks on gaming and technology on our platform.
