Pilot arrested after landing a plane on the interstate in Missouri

A drunken pilot was arrested after landing a small aircraft early Friday on Interstate 70 southeast of Kansas City, Missouri.

He landed the plane after radioing that he had run out of fuel, authorities said.

The plane had a minor collision with a guardrail and luckily the plane didn’t hit any vehicle or pedestrian on its path.

The pilot was the only person on board. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment after his arrest.

The patrol said the pilot radioed that he had run out of fuel and had to make an emergency landing on the highway.

The Highway patrol arrest records later identified the pilot as 35-year-old John Seesing, of Prairie Village.

He was facing charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
