Piers Inigo Haggard, OBE was a British film, television, and theater director who was born on March 18, 1939. Haggard was born in London but grew up on a little farm in Clackmannanshire.
He is the great-great-nephew of Sir Henry Rider Haggard, as well as the son of Morna Gillespie and the late actor, poet, and novelist Stephen Haggard.
Haggard was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2016 New Year Honours for his contributions to film, television, and theater.
