Born on May 16, 1953, Pierce Brendan Brosnan is an Irish actor and producer.
He starred in four films from 1995 to 2002 (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day) and several video games. He is best known for being the fifth actor to portray secret agent James Bond in the Bond film series.
Brosnan began training in commercial graphics after quitting school at age 16, and he later spent three years studying at the Drama Centre in London. He began acting on stage before becoming well-known for the Remington Steele television series (1982–1987). He is 69 years.
Following the series’ conclusion, Brosnan made cameos in movies including Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and the Cold War spy drama The Fourth Protocol (1987). Following his success as James Bond, Brosnan went on to star in a number of high-profile movies, including the epic catastrophe adventure Dante’s Peak (1997) and the reimagined version of the heist movie The Thomas Crown Affair (1999).
