Samira Bawumia’s health has come under scrutinty after some social media users spotted an unusual swollen part of her feet during the recently concluded Ghana’s Independence Day parade.

Photos that were shared on Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s social media accounts show the feet of his wife, Saminira, that appears to be swollen.

Some Twitter (now X) users saw the unusual appearance and raised some concerns about the Second Lady’s health. One user claimed Samira’s feet were ‘edematous’.

“Is there anything Ghanaians should know about the 2nd lady’s health? An edematous feet?” an X user @LouieXiii131 claimed.

Another user @Asante19931 said: “As much as I hate this, to be honest I’ve noticed for quite a while that her arms and fingers are also swollen too for her size. I think it could be edema.”

Other users disagreed, saying this should not be a cause of alarm.

X user @samaziira noted: “Wearing something tight for long can cause the feet to swell or even sitting for a very long time in that shoe or footwear she is wearing can cause that.”

“If I were you, I would be concerned about my own health. The Second Lady will always have the privilege of a special healthcare that you may never have. Concentrate on yourself!” X user @WiseKingSolom11 clapped back.

Anothrr use @StephenKwe70792 claimed: “Look personal attack like this is not encourage please but factual about their doing and leadership.”
