Afi Amenyeku, Ghana Women’s U-20 captain, presented her father with her 2023 African Games gold medal after the competition ended.
The goalie played all five games in the competition as the Black Princesses won the gold medal and went undefeated.
Ghana met Nigeria in the final of the women’s football tournament at Cape Coast Stadium.
Despite committing a howler that contributed to the Falconets’ opening goal, Amenyeku kept her teammates cool for the rest of the game, as they won 2-1 in extra time.
On Tuesday, March 26, the shot-stopper tweeted images of herself and her father as he presented him with the competition gold.
