Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu is the daughter of Francoise Laurent, a model, and actor Philippe Leroy-Beaulieu.

She went to Paris at the age of 16 to study drama against her parents’ advice after spending her childhood in Italy; Her father, the actor Philippe Leroy-Beaulieu, particularly attempted, but was unsuccessful, to prevent her from pursuing a career that would have followed in his footsteps.

She made her film debut in Roger Vadim’s 1983 film Surprise Party after making her stage debut.

She played the distraught mother in Trois Hommes et un couffin (Three Men and a Cradle) in 1985, which earned her a nomination for the César Award for Most Promising Actress. This was her first major screen role. Heffron (Mademoiselle Leroy-Beaulieu played Charlotte Corday in the latter.

Philippe Leroy-Beaulieu has appeared in more than 150 films and worked extensively in both Italian and his home country’s cinema. He made his acting debut in Jacques Becker’s The Hole in 1960, and he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his performance as Leonardo da Vinci in the Italian miniseries The Life of Leonardo da Vinci in 1971.
