Philip Rivers is a retired professional American football quarterback. He was born on December 8, 1981, in Decatur, Alabama. Rivers played college football at North Carolina State University and was selected fourth overall by the New York Giants in the 2004 NFL Draft. However, he was immediately traded to the San Diego Chargers, where he spent the majority of his career.
Rivers achieved numerous accolades throughout his career, including eight Pro Bowl selections. He holds several NFL records, including the most consecutive completions in a single game (25), the most consecutive completions to start a game (25), and the most consecutive seasons with at least 3,500 passing yards (11).
