Disney has fired Peter Rice, the company’s top executive content manager.
Peter Rice was born in 1966 in the United Kingdom. He attended the University of Nottingham where he studied the art of managing drama. He was a core content creating executive at Disney until his exit today on June 8.
Rice has had a very colorful portfolio so far. He began at Fox Searchlight pictures where he began his assignment in the year 2000, during which time he released some of the most popular films of the decade and some of the highest-grossing films in Fox Searchlight’s history, including The Last King of Scotland, Bend it like Beckham, Juni and the multi-million box office hit Slumdog Millionaire.
