
Peter Stephen Paul Brook CH CBE was an English stage and cinema director who lived in France beginning in the early 1970s.
He received several Tony and Emmy nominations, as well as a Laurence Olivier Award, the Japanese Praemium Imperiale, and the Prix Italia. He was known as “our best living theatrical director.”
