Peter Bogdanovich, one of the top American actors and filmmakers, has kicked the bucked.
He passed away on Thursday morning (January 6, 2022), his agent announced in a press statement. His daughter also confirmed his death.
His death came as a shock to many industry folks and fans across the globe.
The director of The Godfather, Francis Ford Coppola told the Deadline website that he was “devastated” by the news.
“May he sleep in bliss for eternity, enjoying the thrill of our applause forever”, he said.
The director of Pan’s Labyrinth, Guillermo del Toro, also tweeted Thursday: “He was a dear friend and a champion of Cinema… He single-handedly interviewed and enshrined the lives and work of more classic filmmakers than almost anyone else in his generation.”
Peter Bogdanovich is survived by his wife and two children.
