Berla Mundi, a Ghanaian media star, has explained why she left EIB Network.
On August 15, 2019, the renowned media personality announced her departure from the EIB Network. Her resignation piqued Ghanaians’ interest in why she quit the media firm that had provided her with valuable professional skills and chances.
However, years after her departure, Berla confessed in a viral video why leaving GHOne was a difficult decision.
Berla stated that when she first considered retiring, she was afraid about losing the link she had with the media house.
Berla Mundi stated that while she could not afford to meet her requirements during her time at GHOne, she was scared to take the next step since she felt she owed the firm some loyalty.
“The later stages of my time at GHOne had grown really difficult. I felt like I had reached my limit, and the platform could no longer finance what I desired. But I was hesitant to take the brave step of leaving. That was because my entire career as a broadcast journalist had begun with GHOne. I felt as if I owed the corporation something from its start, whether it was a favor or my career.
I had signed the contract and everything, and it was time for me to relocate, but I had to tell them the hard truth: I am sorry, but I am unable to make it. I was so terrified to move that I became caught in that spot. For another six months, I stayed there. My first relocation was in March, and my last was in September.
“While I was at GHOne, things changed. The backbiting began; there were many allegations thrown about, and people treated me as if I didn’t matter, and I had no idea what that meant. It was just God making things uncomfortable for me. I merely told my boss, “Let’s see if there is still space for me at TV3,” and there was. They had saved that room for me, and I was ready to go since I didn’t see myself progressing at the moment. “I was really depressed,” she stated.
