Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pelé, is a former Brazilian professional football forward.

Pelé sued Samsung Electronics in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in March 2016, seeking US$30 million in damages for violations of the Lanham Act for false endorsement and a state law claim for violation of his right of publicity.
