Pele, also known as Edson Arantes do Nascimento, is a retired professional soccer player from Brazil who is 82 years old.
He was born on October 23, 1940, in Torres Corazoniz, Minas Gerais, and started playing at the age of 15 for Santos before making his national team debut at the age of 16.
He won the FIFA World Cup three times, in 1958, 1962, and 1970, becoming the only player in the history of the game to do so.
Pele is Brazil’s all-time best scorer with 77 goals in 92 appearances. He leads Santos in club scoring with 643 goals in 659 games. During his prime, Santos led the group to the 1962 and 1963 Copa Libertadores, as well as the 1962 and 1963 Intercontinental Cup.
