Paul Silas was an American professional basketball player and head coach who lived from July 12, 1943, to December 10, 2022.

With the Boston Celtics and the Seattle SuperSonics, he won three NBA titles in total. He was a two-time All-Star as a player and was chosen five times for the NBA All-Defensive Team.

Funeral arrangements for the NBA legend have not yet been announced by his family. As soon as they relay the information as to when and where he will be laid to rest we will also communicate it to our cherished readers.

Silas played basketball for the Creighton Bluejays in college after winning the California Mr. Basketball award and being selected to the second team of the Parade All-Americans in high school.

He played in the NBA for 16 seasons after being chosen in the second round of the 1964 NBA Draft. He served as a head coach for 12 seasons throughout his coaching career, and in 2003, he was inducted into the Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame.
