Paul James O’Grady MBE DL was a comedian, broadcaster, actor, writer, and drag queen from England.
He rose to prominence in the London LGBT scene in the 1980s with his drag queen persona Lily Savage, through which he earned wider recognition in the 1990s. O’Grady then discarded the role and became the host of several television and radio shows, notably The Paul O’Grady Show, in the 2000s.

Paul O’Grady, the beloved TV presenter, and comedian best known for his drag persona Lily Savage died at the age of 67.
Andre Portasio, O’Grady’s partner, revealed in a statement that he died “unexpectedly but peacefully” on Tuesday evening (28 March).
“He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, friends, family, animals, and all those who enjoyed his humor, wit, and compassion,” Portasio said.
“I know that he would want me to thank you for all the love you have shown him over the years.”
However, the late Comedian’s cause of death has not been disclosed, but he had several health issues in the previous years.
