Paul Hampshire was a retired Scottish professional footballer who died on Sunday 13, 2022.

He began his professional career with Raith Rovers in 1999, making over 50 games over four seasons before joining Berwick Rangers in the summer of 2003.

Paul chalked up 65 games in all competitions in two seasons at Berwick Rangers, both while the club was in the Scottish Second Division.

“In the summer of 2005, Paul joined East Fife for two seasons before moving on to Dunbar United and later to Newquay AFC.

He was a popular player with supporters who valued his talent and work ethic.

Paul is remembered as being blessed with a wonderful left foot.

Paul died following a fatal collision on the A1 near Dunbar at the weekend.

The accident on the A1 near his hometown of Dunbar happened at 1 a.m. and involved a black Ford Fiesta.

Enquiries into the crash remain ongoing.
