Patricia Louise Holte, an American R&B singer, songwriter, actor, and businesswoman, goes by the stage name Patti LaBelle. LaBelle has been dubbed “the Godmother of Soul” by some.
She began her career in the early 1960s as the principal vocalist and frontwoman of the vocal group Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles.
