Pastor Kingsley Gyamfi made his first public appearance since the death of his companion, the late Dr. Grace Boadu, during the late finance minister, John Kumah’s one-week observance.
Pastor Kingsley Gyamfi of Ejisu took advantage of the occasion to express his condolences to the late MP’s family.
Pastor Kingsley was greeted with applause and accolades from the audience assembled on the burial grounds as soon as he stepped out of his luxury Ford Fiso car.
He then mounted the platform and welcomed the dignitaries one by one.
In a video circulating online, he was seen exchanging pleasantries with the Chief of Staff, Nana Frema Opare, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, and others.
However, some netizens have questioned his relationship with these high-profile figures, while others have complained that the president has been ‘easily available’.
Meanwhile, the late deputy finance minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah, will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 18, with final burial rituals on Sunday, May 19.
The 45-year-old congressman died in March following a brief illness, leaving a wife and six children.
Pastor Kingsley previously expressed regret that Dr. Grace Boadu’s family stopped him from attending his late partner’s burial.
In that sense, Grace Boadu’s ex-husband was chosen to portray the deceased’s spouse at the burial ceremony.
Pastor Kingsley and his entourage were sent home before the major funeral service after attending Grace Boadu’s one-week observation.
In an earlier interview with Kessben FM, he stated that Grace Boadu’s mother had asked him not to attend any of the funeral festivities.
He also said that his life had been endangered several times throughout his friendship with the late herbal doctor.
