Adeleye Dada Dollar, a pastor of Cherubim and Seraphim, has been detained by the Nigerian Police Force for several months of raping Adekunle Kabirat’s daughter and getting her pregnant.
Speaking to reporters, the victim’s mother, Joke Adekunle, claimed that Kabirat had left the house on January 8, 2024, following a reprimand for misbehaving and a directive not to visit Joke’s shop as a form of punishment.
The mother claimed that after taking her schoolbooks out of her bag and packing some of her clothes in the same bag, the Kabirat had left the house when she arrived home in the evening.
Joke claimed that she called her pastor right away to let him know what was going on, but he did not pick up. He came later, she said, telling her he saw her missed calls but was unable to answer them because his phone was broken.
She claimed that after telling him about the development, she asked him if Kabira was at his house, but he denied having any knowledge of her movements.
Joke claimed that the preacher in question was present on the day her daughter departed and chastised her for cursing her daughter. The mother claimed that the clergyman would visit her home to console her while they were looking for Kabira.
She added that after calling her mother to come and get Kabira, she was able to locate her.
The victim, who is six months pregnant, said after questioning that the cleric had been raping her since 2021.
She said that on the day of the event, the suspect brought her to an incomplete structure and sexually assaulted her. During his interrogation, the cleric begged for forgiveness from everyone.
