A notice regarding the temporary closure of certain sections of the Takoradi-Agona road for maintenance has been released by the Ministry of Roads and Highways.
The closure is planned to start on Friday, February 23rd, and last until Tuesday, February 27th, according to a press release from the Ministry released on Monday, February 19.
The area around the Butre River Bridge in Ewusiejoe, New Takoradi, will be the focus of repair efforts. To ensure the safety of both passengers and other people, this is done to ensure that vehicles can move freely from one end to the other.
“The general public and all road users are hereby informed that the Ewusiejoe section of the Takoradi-Agona Road on the N1 Highway will be completely closed to traffic from midnight, Friday, February 23, to Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 4:am,” says a statement from the Ministry of Road and Highway, acting through the Ghana Highways Authority (GHA).
“The purpose of this is to allow the Ghana Highway Authority to perform significant maintenance on the approaches to the Butre River Bridge located in Ewusiejoe, close to Takoradi.”
