Team Ghana made a bold statement at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris with their vibrant fugu attire.

The Ghanaian contingent proudly showcased their traditional hand-woven attire, highlighting the country’s rich cultural heritage.

The men’s team paired their fugu with black trousers, while the women donned overall fugu attire. Leading the five-member team at the ceremony were Joseph Paul Amoah and Rose Yeboah, exuding Ghana’s spirit on the international stage.

With eight athletes representing Ghana, the team will compete in events such as sprints, high jump, and swimming. The opening ceremony, which took place on the Seine River on July 26, marked the first time in the history of the games that it was held outside the stadium.

The Ghanaian delegation’s display of fugu at the Olympic Games not only symbolizes national pride but also showcases the beauty and uniqueness of Ghanaian culture to the world.
