Pallonji Shapoorji Mistry was an Irish billionaire who was born in India. A major part of his wealth is reported to have come from his construction business.
He served as chairman of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group and owned a number of shares in India’s largest private conglomerate, Tata Group.

According to various news outlets, the Indian billionaire passed away in his sleep in the early hours of June 28, 2022. He was 93 years of age at the time of his death. His death occurred at the family residence in South Mumbai.
He is survived by his two sons and two daughters. His eldest son Shapoor Mistry leads operations at the Shapoorji Pallonji group, while his other son, Cyrus Mistry worked as the chairman of the Tata group for a number of years before being ousted by the board in 2016.
His daughter, Aloo, is married to Noel Tata, half-brother of Ratan Tata, and his other daughter Laila is in charge of some of his business ventures.
