Jets fans, LeRoy Butler has some cautionary words for you before you start booking your hotel rooms in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl. According to the Packers legend, even with Aaron Rodgers on your team, you won’t be making it to the big game anytime soon.
Butler shared his prediction with TMZ Sports just days after Rodgers made it clear that he wants to be traded from the Packers to the Jets. While Butler acknowledges that Rodgers can still play at a high level, he believes the quarterback’s handling of the offseason will make it difficult for the team to win big in 2023.
Butler believes that Rodgers may not have enough time to gel with the team’s top Rookie of the Year wide receiver, Garrett Wilson, or go out with Breece Hall. He predicts that the Jets will only win eight games in 2023, which means the team will have to reconsider if Rodgers wants to play in 2024.
Butler also expressed his disappointment with how Rodgers has handled his exit from Green Bay, saying that some of his words have been disrespectful. However, he is happy that the team can finally move on from the Rodgers saga with Jordan Love and predicts that the Packers will win nine or 10 games this season.
