Dreams FC displayed pure determination as they clinched a crucial 2-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in a match deemed a must-win by coach Karim Zito.
The “Still Believe Boys” put on a remarkable performance at the Theatre of Dreams, dealing a blow to Asante Kotoko’s hopes in the process.
Coach Karim Zito stressed the importance of securing victories, especially when playing at home. “I am not satisfied and I did everything possible to win this match because we must win because there is no advantage anywhere besides your home,” he said in an interview after the game.
Sylvester Simba kicked things off by scoring the opening goal, followed by Derrick Agyei’s impressive strike that sealed the win for Dreams FC.
Despite this much-needed win, Dreams FC is currently sitting at 14th place on the Premier League table, with 31 points from 25 games, including one outstanding fixture.
Looking forward, Coach Karim Zito and his team will face a tough challenge as they gear up to take on Zamalek at the Cairo International Stadium in the first leg of the CAF Champions League this weekend.
