Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Threatens to Sack Asante Kotoko Head Coach
Asante Kotoko owner and life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has issued a stern warning to head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum amidst the club’s recent struggles.

After a disappointing run of form which has seen the team win just one of their last seven games, the Reds find themselves in 11th place on the Premier League log. This worrying trend prompted an emergency meeting at Manhyia on Thursday, where the King made it clear that poor performances will not be tolerated.

During the meeting, Otumfuo emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort within the team, stating that every member ultimately serves him and not any individual. He expressed his unwavering commitment to ensuring the team’s success and vowed to take action if necessary to bring about improvement.

“I am expecting something better from you,” the King told the players and technical staff. “Prove to me that you are capable, and if the coach is the problem, then I will take a decision on him. But for now, make sure you go and play and win.”

The meeting comes on the heels of a chaotic situation at the team’s training session, where unhappy fans demanded the resignation or dismissal of Prosper Narteh Ogum. Despite the fan unrest, Otumfuo has decided to support the coach in hopes of a turnaround in form.
