In a startling revelation, cash bundles worth a staggering $590,000 and GH¢2.7 million have been unearthed at the residence of former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Dapaah.
Here’s the lowdown on the unfolding saga: Documents filed at the court have unveiled a trove of money, both local and foreign currencies, found across Dapaah’s properties in Cantonments, Abelemkpe, and Tesano.
The Abelemkpe residence, initially in the spotlight for reported theft, has now taken a twist with the discovery of additional cash.
Investigations have exposed eye-popping figures stashed away in Dapaah’s bank accounts. JoyNews intercepted documents revealing a jaw-dropping $5 million and GH¢48 million locked within her Prudential Bank accounts.
Notably, her Société Générale account held investments worth GH¢1 million and an impressive GH¢700,000 in cash.
Promptly responding to the revelations, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has frozen Dapaah’s implicated accounts. Additionally, they’ve sought court approval for their actions, as required by law.
This unfolding development has got many Ghanaians asking questions considering how the economy has become tough nowadays.
