Oppong Nkrumah removed from Information Ministry

In the most recent cabinet reorganization, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the minister of information, was transferred to the ministry of housing.

As the actual Minister, Fatimatu Abubakar, his deputy, assumes responsibility.

Approximately thirteen ministers of state—ten cabinet ministers and two regional ministers—have been affected by the most recent reorganization.

On Wednesday, February 14, the presidency released a press statement listing all of the fired, reassigned, and newly appointed ministers.

A significant government reorganization was announced on Wednesday, February 14, and included the removal of Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The reshuffle has impacted about 13 of the current ministers of state, including 10 cabinet members and 2 regional ministers.

Following the Government’s reorganization, President Akufo-Addo has proposed the names of the following individuals for appointment as Ministers and Deputy Ministers of State in accordance with articles 78, 79, and 256, respectively, of the Constitution to Parliament for approval in advance through the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.

The following Ministers of State and Deputy Ministers of State have also been reassigned by President Akufo-Addo to new positions, and he has instructed them to start serving in their new capacities right away.
