Following the release of the nomination list for the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) on Saturday, 3rd March 2018, an account on Twitter which disseminates news and other matters related to rapper Sarkodie, bearing the username Sark Nation Daily tweeted to express their disappointment in the VGMA Board for not nominating any of Sarkodie’s videos released in the year under review for the Music Video of the Year category.
The account could not fathom why a video like Dadie Opanka’s “Wedding Car” video could get a nomination in the said category over Sarkodie’s videos. The tweet is provided below;
Charter house dierr the least said about them the better. All the high quality videos on the Highest album, they didn’t nominate any but their board was able to sit and decide to nominate Opanka wedding car!!! Herh even a toddler won’t do this!! #VGMA2018

Barely 4 days after the aforementioned tweet was publicized, Dadie Opanka in an apparently angry manner has expressed a vehement displeasure at the tweet by Sark Nation Daily. He responded to the tweet as follows;
U disrespect an artist who doesn’t have anything to do with ur issue to support ur artist? Is it cos u lack common sense or u didn’t grow up in a home?
