Broda Sammy, a Ghanaian gospel artist, feels he would never be nominated for the Ghana Music Awards owing to his rivalry with his colleague Nana Osei, also known as Nacee.
According to him, Nacee is a board member of the Award’s plan, and his presence will impact his chances of being nominated or winning.
In an interview with Seancity TV, monitored by GhanaWeb, Broda Sammy stated,
“I know I’ll never win an award at the Ghana Music Awards unless Nacee dies.” I’m saying this because he’s on the board; if your music isn’t associated with him, you’ll never get nominated. I don’t have an issue with him, but this is the reality. He’s my son when it comes to music.”
Meanwhile, several artists who did not receive nominations for the 2024 TGMA event have attacked the organization and questioned the procedures they set in place to nominate singers.
